Sparkle has launched its first Point of Presence (PoP) in Brasilia to support the growing demand for international connectivity in Brazil.

As Sparkle’s fifteenth PoP in the country, the new node expands the company’s network capillarity in Brazil, featuring presence also in Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, Rio De Janeiro, Salvador, and São Paulo. This consolidates its position as a leading global Tier-1 backbone in LATAM and one of the main providers in the Americas.

The PoP, located at the ELEA BSB2 data center, is fully integrated with Sparkle’s global Tier-1 IP backbone, Seabone, which offers extensive coverage across Central and South America. With 18 points of presence spanning Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Panama, Peru, and Puerto Rico, Seabone ensures reliable connectivity.

Sparkle CEO Exclusive: Consistent Growth for the Americas

By integrating with Sparkle’s Tier-1 global backbone, the sixth-largest IP network worldwide, the new node offers network operators, ISPs, OTTs, content delivery networks, and content and application providers access to scalable, low-latency IP transit services in 10 GB, 100 GB, and 400 GB increments.

Additionally, customers will benefit from a wide range of IP solutions, including DDoS Protection services to guard against cyberattacks, and Virtual NAP, which enables virtual access to leading Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) without the need for proprietary infrastructure.

Sparkle’s extensive network, which includes both terrestrial and submarine connections, features four “digital highways,”Curie in the Pacific, Monet, Seabras-1, and the upcoming Manta in the Atlantic, providing five diverse routes for connectivity between South and North America. This guarantees complete redundancy and exceptional data quality.
