Cirion Technologies, a leading provider of digital infrastructure in Latin America, announced the appointment of Nelson Fonseca as President of its Data Center business.

Nelson’s appointment reflects the continued growth of demand in the region and Cirion’s commitment to continue to provide its customers with a comprehensive set of colocation and interconnection solutions for their digital needs.

Nelson brings more than 25 years of experience in the digital infrastructure space to Cirion, most recently as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cyxtera, a global provider of data center and interconnection services. Nelson was previously a partner at Medina Capital and served as President of Terremark until its $2 billion sale to Verizon in 2012.

New Cirion Leader

Cirion is backed by Stonepeak, a leading alternative investment firm specializing in infrastructure and real assets that manages approximately USD 61.1 billion in assets and a broad portfolio of global investments in communications and digital infrastructure.
