Decade of Commitment to Georgia
AWS’s latest investment builds on Amazon’s significant economic contributions to Georgia over the past decade. Since 2010, Amazon has invested USD 18.5 billion in Georgia, boosting its GDP by USD 20.1 billion and supporting thousands of jobs. This new expansion is expected to create hundreds of technical roles, including data center engineers, network specialists, and security experts. Additionally, it will generate thousands of indirect jobs in construction and supply chain sectors.
"State and local leaders have cultivated an environment that enables companies like AWS to make bold, forward-looking investments. We are excited to deepen our partnership with the state of Georgia and contribute to the continued advancement of its thriving technology landscape,” said Roger Wehner, VP of Economic Development at AWS.
